Yesterday we took Isaiah to get his pictures taken. I had planned this event out for weeks in my head. Since he loves to smile, I thought all we would need to do is plan out the timing just right. Since he has a problem with spitting up, I didn't want to feed him right before the pictures, even though I knew that would be when he was most happy. I didn't want his clothes to be drenched in his white throwup. So..we fed him about an 1hr before we left and he fell asleep. When we got to the studio, he woke up and right away he was cranky! So when it came time to take the pictures every time we put him down he would basically scream. We stuck a bottle in his mouth after every shot, hoping that it would satisfy him. Finally towards the end we got half way smiles...but I wouldn't even call it that. We should've just fed him when we got there...we all learn from our mistakes. There were some cute pics...so it wasn't a total disaster.

We dealt with the same issues at three months. When we got portraits when Brady was seven months, he was better, but he still didn't last as long as we had hoped. He didn't cry, but he was definitely finished smiling. Can't wait to see the pictures!
