I almost died today!

FYI....I almost died today!

I came home from work to find someone inside my wife's car parked in the drive way. I wasn't sure who it was, thinking "Whats my wife doing in there?" As I get out of my car I see him (the bloody thief) running out of the back seat of the my wife's car to a car parked on the street....instinctively i ran to the driver side of the car to find a woman there....he gets in (on the passenger side) and i hold on to the steering wheel (I think at the time i might have been trying to get the keys out of the ignition). speaking what i assume to be hmong, he's telling her to go (I'm still holding on) they speed off and are headed straight to the house accross the street, i see them about to hit the curb when i let go (because i trip...or maybe couldn't keep up any more with the car anymore) they hit the curb and straighten out the car...hit a couple of garbage cans and speed off down the street. Shaken and out of breath i call 911...When the cops came, i gave what a description of the car and those in it (what i could remember at least). Luckily, it seems as if they were looking for electronics. They went through everything, the glove box, the center console, all of it and didn't take any paper work (that we know of yet). The only thing i saw him holding was Ashley's cell phone car charger.

just so you know...I'm an action hero on the side.


Ashley: My husband is very crazy, but I tried not to be mad at him for almost killing himself because he just reacted instinctively. He could have been shot or run over by the rice rocket, so I am very thankful that all he got were a few bloody scrapes. Maybe for my birthday he will put an alarm on my car. (This is a reminder to him that it is coming up).

Santiago: What good is an alarm if the car is unlocked (the car was unlocked when they broke in)
