I thought that this day would be very hard on me. Even though Santiago and I had to take turns each week being with him during church (basically following him around in the halls for two hours), I still didn't think I could just hand him off to some strangers for two hours. And they are basically strangers since we are fairly new to our ward. I was so scared they wouldn't let us know if he needed a diaper change...or if he was starving and wouldn't feed him enough snacks. But it made it easier for me to deal with when I got called into primary and just had to let Santiago deal with making the transition for him. Even though I was sad I couldn't see his first official day, I was told he ran right in, and didn't look back. No diaper messes or anything today. The teacher said he got fussy towards the end so she just gave him more snacks. She told me that he blends right in. So my worries were put to rest, and we can enjoy church peacefully now...except for Sacrament meeting...thats always fun :)
