Isaiah is 2 1/2 now, and he has changed so much since he turned 2. Santiago and I can't believe how much older he seems, he's not our little baby anymore. He is a big helper around the house, and he is definetely an older brother.
Here are some of the things he says to the baby:
"Baby, no eat hands, eat mommy."
"Baby, no hands in mouth, pacifier in mouth...don't take it out!"
Today Xavier grabbed his hair as Isaiah bent over him, and he said, "Baby, no pull Isaiah's hair...hear me?" (probably mimicking me when I say, Do you hear me?"
When Xavier is playing on his play mat or in the bouncer, Isaiah "shows" him how to play with the toys. He says, "No baby, look baby, see that" as he plays with Xavier's toys.
He is jealous of the baby of course...and it's hard on me also. Especially when he says things like "No mommy hold baby, mommy hold Isaiah, daddy hold baby."
A few days ago he said a full prayer at dinenr all by himself...saying what he was thankful for...his trains, daddy coming home safely, etc...and he even remembered to bless the food at the end. He is now pacifier free...ever since New Years Eve. I can't tell you how happy that makes us.
Xavier has been grabbing at toys, and is now doing the full belly laugh. Right now we are working on rolling over. He constantly is having his hands in his mouth...and his shirt is always soaked. I'm thinking he is getting teeth. Isaiah got his first two at four months. He still won't take the bottle. We need to keep working on it as our 5 year anniversary is next month. A date that lasts longer than 2 hrs would be nice.

Still wishing you luck with the bottle. At least you've got just a couple months until solids. That's what I'm holding out for.
Isaiah's such a sweetheart. Isn't it crazy how much they change from 2 to 2 1/2? I love it!
