Sam at 9 months
Our little princess will be turning 10 months in a few weeks, so I need to play catch up on here. Her two bottom lateral incisors came in about 2 weeks from each other at 8 months. That makes her have a grand total of 8 teeth. Thankfully she has not been fussy with any of her teeth coming in. Around 8 months she also started pulling herself up fully, and around 9 months she learned how to walk along furniture. She loves getting around with her walker, and somehow figured out that she can push it to the piano and play on the keys.
As far as sleeping goes, she wakes up about 3-4 times a night. Since she is in bed with us I try to give her the pacifier but she only wants to nurse. She is like clockwork. Typically she goes down by 9 pm, wakes up shortly after and I have to bounce her back to sleep. Then she wakes up around 11:30, 2:30, and 5:05 (no joke). Nap times I usually put her in the crib to cry for a bit before I pick her up and bounce her. On one occasion she must have been so tired that she fell asleep chillin' in her crib.
We have water park passes again this year and she loves the water, as long as it is not too cold.
She gets most of her entertainment from her older brothers. She has the biggest bond with Xavier; he can make her laugh like no one else. Sometimes she does mess up their train tracks and Isaiah gets annoyed, but they love her so much.
Out of all of our kids, she has been the most finicky eater. She takes out the food that goes in her mouth, looks at it, and then decides it she wants to put it back in. She also is lazy about chewing the more solid foods like bananas, cheerios and bread. It goes in her mouth and comes right back out with no desire to work at it. She does great with a sippy and will gulp water straight from a cup. Her doc said to start her on 2% milk in a month and I'm hoping she'll drink it.
At her 9 month check-up she weighed 20.7 lbs and was 28 7/8 inches long. I can tell that she is starting to thin out...those rolls aren't so big anymore. Her hair isn't long enough to put in a ponytail but I can at least clip a bow in it. She is starting to throw little tantrums and lunges herself forward when she doesn't get her way, but since she is a princess that doesn't happen very often :) We love our little Sam.
