Back to School
A new school year has begun! Xavier has waited for two long years to attend the same preschool that Isaiah went to. He goes twice a week in the mornings and he loves it. He has started to be more interested in writing and learning his numbers and letters. I have enjoyed having some time alone with Sam, and we try to run errands and have play dates while he is gone. Because of his October birthday, next year he will be in Transitional Kindergarten, and then go to regular Kindergarten. At first I was bummed that Isaiah and him would be three years apart in school, but I think it will be a good thing for him to be a little older and bigger. He's one of the shortest ones in his preschool class right now.
Isaiah is now in 1st grade, and attending school all day for the first time. He does pretty well with the full day, since he hasn't napped for years. As soon as he gets home though it's homework, reading and piano practice. 1st grade is going to be a breeze for him. He is already reading 3rd grade chapter books. I really do wish it was more challenging, but it's good for his self-esteem I guess.
I have enjoyed getting my exercise walking to and from school twice a day, plus trying to go walking for at least 30 min. after I drop him off. I miss Isaiah during the day, but Xavier and Sam are pretty easy together that I have kept busy running around with them. Let's see how I handle it when I have one more!
