Christmas Fun

Well...Christmas is over. It seems like so much goes on the whole month of December leading up to Christmas, and when it's over you're tired, bloated and broke.

Earlier this month we took the kids to two different Christmas parties, on the same day. My sister's husband Mark, who is a CHP, invited us to his work's Christmas party. They had a lot of things for kids to do. Santa came in a patrol car with presents for all of the kids (which we gave before hand). Later that night we had a Christmas party at our ward. Since that night whenever we have gone to church Isaiah thinks Santa will be there.

My mom and my sister with her kids came over earlier this week to bake sugar cookies. I used a recipe from my sister-n-law, and they came out great. The kids had fun, and I had to vacuum the carpet atleast two times to get all the flour and dough out.

We celebrated Christmas with my parents a few days before the 25th, since we went to San Jose this year.

Christmas morning we woke up Isaiah. We needed to head out to San Jose mid-morning, and we didn't know how long he would sleep. This Christmas was all about Thomas the Tank Engine. Isaiah was pretty excited about the trains and tracks he got from us and Santa.

Xavier slept majority of the way to San Jose, which was great because he does not like his car seat! We were able to talk to my lil' bro who's on his mission on our drive which was nice. We celebrated Christmas with Santiago's family. It was hosted by his brother. The cousins did a gift exchange and the adults did a white elephant exchange. Isaiah got more trains and tracks...and he was insepearable from them the whole weekend we were there.

The next day Santiago and his brothers took their dad out for his birthday to watch the movie "Avatar". When they came back we had lunch and celebrated his birthday.

It was a fun holiday, but I am tired and my eyes are burning. For New Years I think we are staying home and going to bed early.
