Trip to the Lake

Last weekend we had the pleasure of having Veronica (Santiago's sister) and her family stay with us for a few days. They came down Friday night and Santiago slept in the tent in our backyard with his nieces and nephew. I think that was the first time they had slept in a tent.

It was a lot of fun, especially since the girls kept Isaiah and Xavier pretty entertained.
The next day we headed up to Bass Lake for lunch. Isaiah didn't want to get in the water, and was quite content playing in the sand for a few hours.

Since I don't like to get in lake water unless I am floating in a tube, I enjoyed just relaxing and chatting it up with Veronica and JC.

I think Xavier's face pretty much sums up this picture.

It seems like the more kids you have the less time you spend as husband and wife on "Family Outings".

We ended our trip as a huge group of smokers invaded our space. (Some people just don't care about little kids inhaling smoke...a little drama for the day). We came back home and Santiago grilled some chicken and corn on the cob. We love having family and friends over and sharing our home! Mi casa es su casa!
