Baby Steps

Xavier has been taking baby steps for about two weeks. On average he takes about 5 steps. He now tries to walk on his own without us coercing him. He also just started standing up on his own without holding onto something. He really keeps me busy! One of his favorite things to do is climb, especially onto the fireplace and Isaiah's bed. Thankfully he has now learned how to get off of higher places on his own. He can also defend himself from his older brother pretty good. He starts to scream as soon as Isaiah reaches for the toy he is playing with, and loves to pull on his hair. Unfortunately he still is not sleeping through the night. He wakes up about every two hours, and is only comforted when I nurse. Within about the last five months he has had repeat ear infections, so I didn't feel comfortable letting him cry it out. He currently is getting over another cold so hopefully I will get the courage to try once he is feeling better. I would really love some sleep! He is so much fun, and I love that Isaiah and him can play together now. He still has only seven teeth, four on top and three on the bottom.
