18 months

Xavier is now 18 months old...and that means he is finally in nursery!!! This is a huge milestone for anyone at church I'm sure. No more walking around the halls for two hours of church, or your child causing a ruckus during a lesson. His first day at nursery was ok. I was in the room for an hour with him, and he did fine. He played without me and not once wanted me to hold him. Once I decided to sneak out, of course he noticed me right away, and cried until they brought him to me. I knew that he would have some diffuclties, unlike his older brother who ran right in and never looked back. I'm not giving up hope of having my arms free!

This child is so much fun...but wears me out! He has figured out how to move the chair around the kitchen to get what he wants. He can fill up a cup from the water dispenser on the fridge, get out a spoon from the silverware drawer, and the other day I heard him turn on the microwave.

He can also often be found hanging on for dear life from the top of the bunk bed, or wedged between our mattress and wooden bedframe saying, "Help Me!"

I walked into his room one night and found this:

He can jump with both feet, and swings on everything. Yes, he keeps me busy.

He is talking a ton, probably saying more than 30 words. His favorite things to say are:basketball hoops (especially when we go walking as he points all of them out),octupus, and when he is looking for someone around the house he will call out, for example: "Isaiah, where are you?"

The first thing he says when he wakes up is "Hungry, eat cereal!". If I don't get up right away to get it for him he throws a big fit. He says sorry when he knows he has hurt you, and please and thankyou when appropriate.

He is sleeping in his toddler bed already. Nap time he goes down pretty easy, but only takes two 30 min. naps. Bedtime he does pretty good falling asleep, but still wakes up throughout the night.

He is such a joy to have in our family, I just wish he gave us more sleep during the night!
