Having a baby around Christmas time was actually kind of nice. Isaiah went on winter vacation and we were able to relax at home. I had purchased majority of their presents in November so I didn't feel the stress of making sure we had everything. But, the same thing happens every year. Santiago and I start thinking...they would love if we got them this. Or can you imagine how excited they would be? Sure, there is nothing wrong with seeing the joy on their face. After this past Christmas though, I realized that they can still have that joy without being completely spoiled. And they were so spoiled at Christmas. Seeing all the presents we got them, plus what extended family gave them it was just too much. I don't want to have kids that expect everything under the moon for Christmas. What would happen when they are teenagers? I'm tired of all the toys! This year will be different, that's for sure. I don't mind Santa bringing them something fun, but I am determined to make it a more humble Christmas than the past.
Next it was Xavier, and we waited for Sam to wake up before we opened up the rest of the gifts.
Isaiah has been begging for GeoTrax ever since his cousins got them a few years ago. Because he had so many wooden tracks I didn't want to buy them. A few days before Christmas Santiago found a few boxes of remote control trains and of course had to buy them. Isaiah was ecstatic when he opened them up.
Eva thankfully slept through majority of the Christmas presents.
We went to my parent's house later on that day.
Grandpa has all of the fun toys!
We finished off the evening with our tradition of the kids acting out The Nativity and opening up more presents.
