Milestones

The month of April has been full of milestones for our family.

We signed up Isaiah for kindergarten last week.  So crazy!  I think he is going to love going, just as he loves pre-school.  He will have three friends in his class, which will make the transition easier I hope.

He also started T-ball.  This is his first time playing. His team has 3-4 yr olds, and the difference in the ages is tremendous!  He also has two friends on his team and he has so much fun with them.  For their first game Isaiah was put on 1st base, and he got four players out.  The video is of him up to bat for the first time.

Xavier is now officially potty trained! Hallelujah!  I had no desire to potty train him early like Isaiah was.  Every now and then I would sit him on the toilet but he wouldn't do anything.  Three weeks ago I decided enough was enough.  I knew he was perfectly capable of using the potty and so potty training began.  He was commando for the first two days.  I got him to go #2 with the promise of a sucker and thats all it took.  He has not gone anywhere else besides the potty since then.  Pee of course is another story.  He had a few accidents, especially when I put pants on top of his underwear.  On warm days he was back to just underwear, and the second week he had hardly any accidents.  This last week he hasn't had any, and has woken up a few times in the morning asking to use the restroom with his diaper clean.  It is so nice to not have to buy two sets of diapers anymore!  Everyone says that boys are harder to train than girls..either Sam is going to be a breeze or she's going to be the challenge, we shall see!

Speaking of Sam, she is now crawling!
Her coordination is down yet with the hands and knee movement, but starts in the crawling position and pushes herself forward. She can also sit up from her tummy.  All four of her top teeth have broken through...and she likes to grind them on her bottom two, among other things!

She babbles tons, learned how to wave, and was clapping her hands all morning.  Her hair is really starting to grow in now, and I can't wait till I can put a clip in it.  Unfortunately she has decided that she does not like her headbands and is constantly pulling them off!

Here is just a pic of the boys running through the sprinklers for the first time last Saturday.  So glad to have grass!
