Since we were at "Legoland" the whole park was covered in statues that were actually made out of Legos. There was also a little mini land that had tons of replicas of famous/historic buildings from around the world.
Legoland's rides were perfect for Isaiah's age. He could go on everything. He did try a roller coaster with Santiago which scared him enough to not want to go on anymore. So he just stuck to the simpler rides which he enjoyed just fine. Xavier was tall enough to go on a good amount of rides as well.
Having my parents there was a great help. My parents either took them on rides or watched the little ones so that we could go on some with the older ones.
One of the coolest things there was a huge play castle with tons of slides and secret passageways. I secretly wished I was a little kid so that I could play in it with the rest of them. It was great to have an area blocked off where we could relax and set the kids free.
Since the park closed around dinner time, my parents left to go pick up some Costco pizzas. My sister-in-law Jessica has an uncle who conveniently has a beautiful vacation home that they stayed at nearby. We all met up there for dinner and to relax. Santiago and I decided to stay there and play a game of Phase 10 (an old favorite of ours) while the kids watched cartoons. It was nice being able to spend some time with them since they live so far away.
