San Diego Part 3

On Saturday we made use of our hopper passes and visited the Sea Life Aquarium which is attached to Legoland.  I thought it would be bigger, but that is probably because I was comparing it to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

There were Lego figures in a lot of the exhibits.

This crab was seriously huge! I had no idea they grew that big,

Sam was pretty fascinated by all of the things swimming around.

Since it was Saturday and the weather was perfect, there was a bigger crowd than the day before.  Santiago took Isaiah on a little safari ride, while my dad waited in line for almost an hour with Xavier for a roller coaster ride.

One of the animals they saw on the safari:

At one point my dad called me while waiting in line and said Xavier had to go pee.  They had already been waiting for awihle so Xavier just had to hold it.  I met up with them as soon as they got off and Xavier didn't look scared one bit.  But he did say, "I need to use the restroom!"  The roller coaster was fast but it didn't phase him one bit.

We headed to Duplo Village where there was fun stuff for the younger kids.

They had a few play areas like this where the kids ran crazy.

The kids asked to go on this train ride a few times.
It was a nice place to have lunch.  This time we brought in tons of food and snacks.  Lunch=$12...much better!

There was a cold breeze that day, but it didnt stop us from going to the Legoland Waterpark.  It was much bigger than I thought it would be.  We brought the boy's bathing suits with us, but failed to bring our own (my fault).  They really wanted to go in the water, so my dad didn't mind going in with his shorts.  Finally I convinced Santiago it was worth it to buy some shorts there and he did; for $60!  Those shorts better last him for a few years.

Around 3 we decided it was time to go since the kids were exhuasted.  We packed up everything and made our way to the gift shop where we let the boys both pick out one lego set.  After that we headed to the outlets which were just around the corner from Legoland.  We walked around a bit but my back was killing me and the kids were just plain tired!

My family all met up again at Ruby's Diner.  It was a cute hamburger joint and the kids enjoyed playing with the paper planes the restuarant handed out.  After dinner we went back to the hotel, gave the kids showers and went to bed!
