Christmas, Part 1

Unfortunately now that all us kids have grown-up and have our own families (except my lil bro) we have different things going on during the holidays. This last Christmas was going to be spent with the Ortega side, which meant an early Christmas with my parents. We went to their house for a Christmas Eve lunch. It ended up just being my parents and brother there. After a yummy ham lunch we opened up presents.

My parents gave the kids board games and a bowling set.

I knew that my mom was giving us food storage for Christmas. If it wasn't for her we would starve if there was a natural disaster. I was so happy when I unwrapped a sewing machine. I used to sew growing up but didn't have much interest in it. Now that I have my own home, and a girl, I want to pick it up again. I will probably need some sewing classes.

Awwwww

The boys love their uncle Devan. Hopefully once he graduates college he will live close by.

My girl
Isaiah loves, I mean LOVES his little sister.
After presents I made desserts to take to San Jose the next day, while the men set up the new foosball table my dad bought. They already had one, but I guess this one was cooler. My dad loves his grandsons!
I am glad that we live close to my parents, so that we can still manage to celebrate the holidays together. It makes me sad to think that as my siblings and I grow older, our family won't get together as often.
