Christmas, Part 2

Doing Christmas morning with the kids is something important to me. It has also been a new tradition for Santiago. He grew up staying up till mid-night on Christmas Eve to open up gifts. With young kids that is just too hard, so we worked it out to do our own Christmas in the morning, and travel to his family afterwards.
Putting kids to bed on Christmas Eve is not easy, but once they were finally asleep we finished all the wrapping and positioned everything for that next morning. We were most excited about the boys seeing the train under the tree that santa left. He also left them new bikes and filled their stockings.
On Christmas morning the boys woke up and went straight to our room. Isaiah asked, "I wonder if Santa came!" Who knows what Xavier was expecting, but he must have enjoyed Christmas because every day since then he has asked if today is Christmas. We made them wait to go out until we had the camera ready so we could all go out together, except for Samantha who was still sleeping.
They weren't sure what to make of it all in the beginning. They both just kind of stood there until we told them to go check it all out.Xavier just kept on saying "Whoa, cool" the whole time.

They got some fun gifts from their cousins Brady and Brooke. They also loved the train that santa left which we knew they would.
When Samantha finally woke up Isaiah helped her look in her stocking.
For breakfast I have made it a tradition to have french toast and sausage for breakfast. We cleaned up, ate, and then got ready to head out of town.
