A little drama for this Momma!

Towards the end of October I started looking for the perfect dress to Santiago's work holiday party. Since it's about the only time I get dressed up (besides church) I wanted to make sure I found exactly what I wanted. First, I thought maybe dark blue. I found a dress at Kohls that I was ok with it, but not thrilled. I searched online everyday for something else, and fell in love with a dress from Downeast. Santiago didn't want me to order it online in case it didn't fit, or ended up not liking it. I found the solution with my awesome friend Michelle who lived (now lives here, yay!) in Utah near a store. So, I made my friend, who had just had a baby, find this dress at Downeast. (I was just a little obsessed with it). Her mother in law was coming back from Utah and dropped it off. Well...I was so disappointed when it didn't fit me (in all the right places). Michelle was unable to find me a different size, so that dress went back to Utah with her husband who was working here. (Atleast I didn't have to pay for shipping, right honey?)
I kept on searching, and strolled into Ross. I ended up returning the blue dress and buying a cute black dress for....$15!! It fit me much better than the other dresses, and I felt good in it. And I'm always up for saving money.
Amidst all of the dress drama, I was stressed about finding a babysitter. My parents and also my sister both were going to be attending parties that same night. Our church party was the same evening as well, so I was scared I wouldn't get a babysitter. I also didn't feel comfortable leaving three little kids (a baby especially) with a 16 year old girl. The boys have never really had a babysitter other than family. Adding to my stress was the fact that Samantha out of nowhere was refusing the bottle. My good friend Stacey offered to watch Samantha for me. I was so relieved!!! She has two kids of her own, so I knew I had nothing to worry about. I tried everyday to give Sam the bottle, and she finally took it. Stacey said she did great with her.
Now for the boys there was a good amount of girls to ask to babysit. I asked a great girl who I thought would play well with them. She was excited to babysit (haha) when I asked her, and told me she wasn't going to the church party. She said they were good. Xavier had a hard time at bedtime, so she sat with him and watched a movie. The next morning Isaiah asked when she could babysit again, with a little smirk on his face. He looked for her at church and got excited when he saw her. Crush maybe?? Now that we have finally made that leap into hiring a babysitter, maybe we will got out more often.
We enjoyed ourselves at the party like we always do. The food was really good. I pretty much stuffed myself. They give away tons of money and prizes, and Santiago was the lucky winner of $100! We needed that! Santa always makes an appearance to giveaway all the prizes.
We danced and had fun. I always feel bad about leaving someone too long with the kids, so we left about 10:00. Such a good evening!
